Meet at 4pm at Arroyo Blvd and Westminster Drive to walk down with a group, or find your own way there. Accessing the site requires a 10 minute walk down a well established hiking trail of compacted but occasionally uneven soil. The location of the performance may be muddy in places, but there are plenty of level dry areas from which you can listen. A lightweight folding chair is suggested. No seats will be provided.
Approaching the site from San Rafael Ave (the west side of the arroyo) involves trespassing and a potentially locked gate, and is therefore discouraged.
In the case of rain, we may elect to proceed with the show but take a different route to the site. In this case, we will depart from the same location at Arroyo & Westminster. Heavy rain means no show, sorry.
Potential hazards include the trail itself, poison oak, coyotes, mosquitos, and unsympathetic humans.
Landmarks for finding your way there:
Start here.
Cross the street and enter the path heading down the hill.
Arrive at the bottom and continue to the right onto the main path.
Continue toward the Colorado Street bridge.
Keep going past the Colorado bridge.
We are headed for the bigger bridge.
Getting closer.
Don't scramble down these rocks. There is a better way up ahead.
Here is the path down to the water's edge.
A flat area at the bottom where you can hang out and set up a chair.
Or venture out onto the rocks and across the arroyo.
